Xinhua News Agency has reported
Department of Linguistics and Translation’s Audio Description (AD) training, practice and research., esp. an activity providing AD service for people who are visually impaired (VI)
in the Banga and Harry Indra Gallery on 18 Nov, 2023 in CityU. This activity involved our PhD, MALS and undergraduate students
who served as volunteers, and it was a successful collaboration between LT, Banga and Harry Indra Gallery, the Hong Kong Blind Union
and the Hong Kong Audio Description Studies Association.
The reporter has interviewed Prof. Jackie Yan and two of her PhD students,
Ms Amanda Chow and Ms Sonia Su Lin, whose research topics are related to AD Studies.
