CityU Talents Programme (HK TECH Tiger)

The University has launched the CityU Talents Programme (HK TECH Tiger) to attract high calibre secondary school graduates, to inspire Year 1 students to raise their academic performance, and to enhance undergraduate admission quality and the University branding.

Minimum Entrance Requirements and Eligibility Criteria

For high school students:

JUPAS (local): DSE score at 28 or above

Non-JUPAS: IB score at 38 or above, or follow entrant scholarships requirements, or comparable qualifications determined by the home academic unit in consultation with the College.

Non-local students: Follow entrant scholarships requirements

For existing Year 1 students:

  1. Top 10% of Year 1 students of CLASS and a minimum CGPA at 3.4 at the end of Year 1 Semester B; and
  2. Completion of at least 30 credit units in Semesters A and B, including the number of credit units specified by the College/home academic units of required courses.

Academic standard required for on-going performance in Undergraduate (UG) study:

Required to maintain a yearly CGPA (at the end of Semester B) at 3.4 or above

Conditions of offer for admission to Taught Postgraduate (TPG) Programme

  1. completion of the required TPG courses (9 credit units) specified in the UG curriculum;
  2. final-year CGPA for the Bachelor’s Degree Award at 3.4 or above; and
  3. satisfying the specific programme entrance requirements set by the offering department of the TPG programme if applicable.

Approval of entry into and exit from the Talents Programme will be processed in accordance with University rules and policies. Once exited, a student cannot rejoin the Programme in later semester or year.
